Naturaleza Inmersiva

The National Parks 360°project was a great challenge: to capture the magic of Argentina’s natural spaces in a stunning and easy-to-navigate web experience.

The timing of the project was key, as the first version was available during the period of confinement due to the Covid 19 pandemic. When we couldn’t leave the house, it transported us to the green spaces we so desperately needed.

Touring the parks

Together with Verne Studio we looked for the best ways to represent the experience of visiting a national park, with all the stimuli that this entails.

Using 360° photography and video, we reconstructed scenes in different locations within Los Glaciares, El Leoncito, Los Cardones, El Palmar and Lanín National Parks. To achieve the immersive effect, the photographic and audiovisual material was accompanied by a narration in the voice of actress Soledad Villamil.

One of the challenges was to build a visual system that would clearly indicate the type of interactions available in the experience.

Interactive Landscapes

Just as it happens when we visit a tourist site, in National Parks 360° the public is the one who decides. By living the experience in the first person, we place a series of actions arranged in such a way that each person builds the story individually.

You may be struck by the sound of a bird, the color of the vegetation or the invitation to walk through a forest. The progress depends on the interest of each person, who, as he or she enters the scenes, is immersed in the depth of the natural scenery.

Working with contents

The audiovisual material in 4K quality, produced by Verne Studio, adds an additional impact along with the ambient sound that transports you to nature. We work so that regardless of the type of device used, the experience can be enjoyed.

The content stands out not only for its touristic value and as a record of Argentine landscapes, but also for its educational information.

Although the full experience is designed with the use of a virtual reality helmet, it is not necessary to add this accessory to live the sensory experience.

Technology at the service of narrative

We worked with the audiovisual production team to create an editing tool that allows them to create the interactions scene by scene, and test them in real time.

We built a CMS that combines the use of Google Sheets, Vimeo HLS and Azure Cloud Storage. These tools allow us to have fluidity in editing and texts, and videos and photos published in very high quality.
